Longing for Manchester

13 April, 2010. I scribbled through a paper on places to visit for a day trip in Manchester – Manchester City Centre, Manchester United Old Trafford Stadium and The Trafford Centre. I handed it over to Mama. They were to visit Manchester that day for the first time, but I was not going with them. I told them I had to prepare for Essay 6. Now, I wish I did spend the day preparing for that essay, instead of facebooking and catching up on my Korean dramas. I did not even lend them at least one of my cameras. The memory cards were full, while the batteries were low. My parents ended up not having any single pictures in Manchester, despite liking The Trafford Centre so much. They also returned home early that day which really surprised me. Bapa still had jetlag, while Mama was unsatisfied. She said she wanted to visit Manchester again. I thought how different their experience in Manchester would have been if I had joined them. Such a ‘filial’ daughter I was!
